Bee Yourself!

“Be what you would seem to be - or, if you'd like it put more simply - never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise.” - Lewis Carroll

Here are some good self-exploration questions:
  1. Who are you?  Begin each answer-or your list- with "I am..."
  2. What makes you happy?  (Joy list question)
  3. Where are you going?  Begin each answer -or your list- with "In 1 year, I will..." (choose whatever increment of time you wish)
  4. What do you want to be known for
  5. What makes you mad?
  6. What makes you sad?
  7. What would you change about yourself?  What can't you change about yourself?
  8. What about you is just right?
  9. What do you want to do before you die?
  10. Who are you NOT?
There are probably a million other questions.   You can apply this exercise to a specific situation:  "At work I am happiest when..."  or "Whenever I am around (Jane Doe) I am..."   or more broadly as demonstrated above.

The most important part is to take what you learn from the exercises to heart and "be what you would seem to be"

To Thine Own Self Be True!

Mental Math with Tricks & Shortcuts

Squaring any Number close to 50

You likely know how to square any 2-digit numbers and how to square any number near the base 100 mentally by now. Here is a trick to square numbers closer to 50 ranging from 30 – 70 (ranges vary at capacity) at extremely fast speed.

In order to find the square of any number closer to 50, all we need to do is,
Find out how much more or less than 50 is that number i.e. the distance of that number from 50.
Add that distance to 25 if the number to be squared is above 50, or subtract the distance from 25 if the number is below 50.
For the last 2 digits, find the square of that distance. If it is a single digit answer, make sure to put an extra ‘0’ before it to make it a 2 place. If it is a 3-digit answer, carry forward the left digit.
That’s it.

Let’s illustrate with example,
572 =?
1)  57 is 7 more than 50.
2)  Add 7 to 25. 25 plus 7 is 32.
3)  For the last 2 digits, find the square of that distance i.e 7. Square of 7 is 49. So, put 49.
So, 572 =3249

532 =?
1)   53 is 3 more than 50.
2)   25 plus 3 is 28.
3)   Square of 3 is 9. So, put 09.
So, 532 =2809

See the pattern?

So, 622 =?
1)  62 is 12 more than 50.
2)  Add 12 to 25 to get 37.
3)  Square of 12 is 144. Put 44 to the last 2 places and carry forward 1 to 7. 7 plus 1 is 8.
So the answer is 3844.

Now what if the numbers of which you are trying to square is less than 50? This is the same technique. Just subtract the distance from 25.

 Let’s say 472 =?
1)   47 is 3 less than 50.
2)   Subtract this distance from 25. 25 minus 3 is 22.
3)   Square of the distance i.e. 3 is 9. So, put 09.
 So, 472 =2209

422 =?
1)   42 is 8 less than 50.
2)   25 minus 8 is 17.
3)   Square of 8 is 64.
So, 422 =1764

372 =?
1)   37 is 13 less than 50.
2)   25 minus 13 is 12.
3)   Square of 13 is 169. Put 69 and carry forward 1 to 2. 2 plus 1 is 3
           So, 372 = 1369

How to Use the Time in Effective Ways?

Let us eat and Drink for Tomorrow we will Die

Have you try to waste your time?
Have you experienced to be thrifty?
Do you believe that life is so short?
Are you the one controlled your life on earth? Who made this world?
What are the things that you think you contribute to the world?
Are you satisfied of your life today?
These questions will wake up in your mind how important is your life, in every blink and beat of your heart!

There’s nothing you can do only if you just prepare whatever happens now, later and tomorrow. Many times I’ve always repeated how valuable the time, it is because if you don’t value the time, in every tick of the clock, you miss the important thing that needs you to do.

How to avoid wasting Time;
1.Time is your competitor. Time is Free and it doesn’t ruin your life but you are taking advantage of the time. You already knew that we only have 24 hours in one day, but you’d never use it in effective way. A person can sleep 6-8 hours a day but sometimes it depends of the age. If you are in 30’s above, your sleeping hours is decreasing because it is an instinct. So, if you sleep 8 hours a day, you will have the remaining of time 24hrs.-8hrs. =16hours. It all up to you how will you use the 16hours remaining.
I have shown the sample time management as a Full Time House Wife.

2. Don’t fail to commit your Time Schedule. Especially if you are a student there are many disturbances like, invitations of friends to go to party, Watch Movie in Theater, Watch useless television shows, surfing on the Internet without purpose and chat with friends. If you have no focus and commitment of your schedule, then it is better not to plan.
So, if you are not planning you are among of the people who waste their time. And you are loser. Do you like to hear a loser? Of course not! So, what are you thinking and waiting for, break your doubt into reality! Common do it now!

3. Review and Recheck your tasks. It is very simple to get a pen and a paper then write the task of the day but, it is quite hard to check the list of what are the things that is already done. The reason why is it vital to always look at your list is that to make it sure and to remind yourself that you are following the task.

4. Be Thankful to God of what you have finished. Try to be realistic when you make aschedule, because if you are out of control to write lists of works then at the end you will regret because you think you’ve never completed your work. Even the easiest task to do you must be proud to put it on your list because everything is important.

5. Keep on doing the good job and keep on improving it. Tomorrow is a new day but the time is always the same 24 hours. If there are things that need to develop on how to use your time effectively, apply it on the next schedule. So, are you ready? This will make you happier to use your time very well.

This is the most tricky question in this page. To measure 4 liters of mild you have to follow the following steps:
  1. Fill the 3 liter bottle and pour the milk in the empty 5 litter bottle.
  2. Fill the 3 liter bottle and pour the milk again in the 5 litter bottle. Now, the 3 litter bottle has only 1 litter.
  3. Empty the 5 liter bottle.
  4. Pour the 1 liter milk (from 3 litter bottle) to the 5 liter bottle. Now, the 5 liter bottle has only 1 liter milk.
  5. Pour the 3 liter bottle with 3 liter milk. And pour it to the 5 liter bottle. So, the 5 liter bottle has now 4 litter milk.

Burn a CD on Windows XP without using software

Windows XP comes with a builtin CD-copy feature that not many people are aware of. Although almost everyone has his/her favorite CD-copy software to stick with, it is still good to know about this CDR feature from Windows XP. You will find it very useful when you come to another PC that doesn't have a CD-copy software, and you can't just install your favorite software to it. With this feature, you can write some data or MP3 files to a CD/DVD, or erase a re-writable CD/DVD.
If you're using a Re-Writable CD (CD-RW), make sure the disc is blank. You might need to erase (or "format") it before use. For information how to erase a CD-RW on Windows XP without using any other software, see this article
Requirements: You need to enable the CD-R feature on Windows XP. If you haven't done so, see this article.

  1. Insert a Formated-ReWritable CD or a Recordable (CD-R) disc into the CD drive.
  2. From Desktop, double-click on "My Computer".
  3. Navigate to the files/folders you want to copy to CD. Select them and press "Ctrl-c" to copy.
  4. Browse back to the CD-ROM, and press "Ctrl-V" to paste. The files/folders will show up as temporary files/folders at this time.

5.) On the left panel, select "Write these files to CD".

6. The window "CD Writing Wizard" appears with the default CD name. Change the CD name if you wish, then click "Next".

7. The "CD Writing Wizard" starts to write files/folders to the CD:

8. Once the writing process is complete, the wizard will disappear and the CD-Rom will be ejected.

Job Interview Questions?

Why should you be hired for this job?
Point out how your talents and how they meet what the organization needs. Do not mention any other job candidates and try to make a comparison. Try to tie a few things to your career path and how it is a good fit. Answer this question with confidence. Do not waffle. You show already know why you should be hired. If you have doubts or are tentitive about this answer, your interviewer might also have doubts.

Why did you leave (or want to leave) your last job?
Stay positive regardless of the circumstances. Never refer to a major problem with management and never speak ill of supervisors, co-workers or the organization. If you do, you will be the one looking bad. Keep smiling and talk about leaving for a positive reason such as an opportunity, a chance to do something special or other forward-looking reasons.

What do you know about this company/organization?
This question is one reason to do some research on the organization before the interview. Find out where they have been and where they are going. What are the current issues and who are the major players?

What have you done to improve your knowledge in the last year?
Try to include improvement activities that relate to the job. A wide variety of activities can be mentioned as positive self-improvement. Have some good ones handy to mention.

Do you have any weaknesses?
Trick question. If you know about weakness, they are no longer blind spots. Do not reveal any personal areas of concern here. Let them do their own discovery on your bad points. Do not hand it to them.

What is your greatest strength?
Numerous answers are good, just stay positive. A few good examples: Your ability to prioritize, Your problem-solving skills, Your ability to work under pressure, Your ability to focus on projects, Your professional expertise, Your leadership skills, Your positive attitude.

What have you learned from mistakes on the job?
Here you have to come up with something or you strain credibility. Make it small, well intentioned mistake with a positive lesson learned. An example would be working too far ahead of colleagues on a project and thus throwing coordination off.

Have you ever had to fire anyone? How did you feel about that?
This is serious. Do not make light of it or in any way seem like you like to fire people. At the same time, you will do it when it is the right thing to do. When it comes to the organization versus the individual who has created a harmful situation, you will protect the organization. Remember firing is not the same as layoff or reduction in force.

Are you a team player?
You are, of course, a team player. Be sure to have examples ready. Specifics that show you often perform for the good of the team rather than for yourself are good evidence of your team attitude. Do not brag, just say it in a matter-of-fact tone. This is a key point.

Describe your management style.
Try to avoid labels. Some of the more common labels, like progressive, salesman or consensus, can have several meanings or descriptions depending on which management expert you listen to. The situational style is safe, because it says you will manage according to the situation, instead of one size fits all.

Would you be willing to relocate if required?
You should be clear on this with your family prior to the interview if you think there is a chance it may come up. Do not say yes just to get the job if the real answer is no. This can create a lot of problems later on in your career. Be honest at this point and save yourself future grief.

Are you willing to work overtime? Nights? Weekends?
This is up to you. Be totally honest.

What motivates you to do your best on the job?
This is a personal trait that only you can say, but good examples are:
Challenge, Achievement, Recognition

What motivates you to do your best on the job?
This is a personal trait that only you can say, but good examples are:
Challenge, Achievement, Recognition

What would your previous manager say your strongest point is?
There are numerous good possibilities:
Loyalty, Energy, Positive attitude, Leadership, Team player, Expertise, Initiative, Patience, Hard work, Creativity, Problem solver.

What kind of salary are you asking for?
A common loaded question. A tricky little game that you will probably lose if you answer first. So, do not answer it. Instead, say something like, That’s a tough question. Can you tell me the range for this position? In most cases, the interviewer, taken off guard, will tell you. If not, say that it can depend on the details of the job. Then give a wide range.
Stay away from a specific job. You cannot win. If you say the job you are contending for is it, you strain credibility. If you say another job is it, you plant the suspicion that you will be dissatisfied with this position if hired. The best is to stay genetic and say something like: A job where I love the work, like the people, can contribute and can’t wait to get to work.

Do you think you are overqualified for this position?
Regardless of your qualifications, state that you are very well qualified for the position.

How do you propose to compensate for your lack of experience?
First, if you have experience that the interviewer does not know about, bring that up: Then, point out (if true) that you are a hard working quick learner.

What qualities do you look for in a Manager?
Be generic and positive. Safe qualities are knowledgeable, a sense of humor, fair, loyal to subordinates and holder of high standards. All bosses think they have these traits.

Tell me about a time when you helped resolve a dispute between coworkers.
Pick a specific incident. Concentrate on your problem solving technique and not the dispute you settled.

Describe your work ethic.
Emphasize benefits to the company and the hiring manager. Things like, determination to get the job done and work hard but enjoy your work are good.

Delete Autorun.inf Virus Manually using just Winrar

Once it happened to a friend of mine, when his newly bought laptop was infected with this autorun.inf virus. This virus corrupted almost all the  drives on the Hard disk, and when ever he tried to double click on the drive or opening  any drive it opened in a new window. In some cases, when your drive is infected with this Autorun.inf virus, you won’t be able to access the drive completely. You have to browse the drive by Exploring it i.e; Ctrl+E keys from the keyboard.

Sometimes ever you will not be able to see hidden files even if you have Show hidden files Enabled under Folder Options. well, this are all the wonders of this Autorun.inf virus.
I am going to show you this rare method of removing Autorun.inf manually using just winrar application, not any antivirus or malware programs.
Solution to Remove Autorun.inf Virus
Step 1: First Disable CD/DVD or USB Autorun in windows
Step 2: Open Winrar.exe  (Start–>All Programs–>WinRar–>WinRar.exe)
Step 3: Now Browse to any drive that is infected with Autorun.inf virus using winrar explorer.
Step4: Here you will see all the hidden files under winrar for that particular drive.
Step 5: Look for the file Autorun.inf and open it using notepad.
Step 6: In that Autorun file, some .EXE file will be mentioned that will be executed along with the autorun file. This exe file is the main culprit.

Step 7: Note the exe file mentioned in the Autorun.inf file. Close this Autorun.inf file.
Step 8: Now look for that .Exe file in the drive (Ex: c:/), Delete that .exe file along with Autorun.inf
Step 9: Restart your Operating System. Now your system is free with Autorun.inf Virus.
Note: Repeat the same process if your Usb or Pendrives are infected with Autorun.inf virus.
If you know anyother method to remove autorun virus from windows operating system, them kindly let me know by posting your method using the Comments on this post.

Windows 7 will not boot right? Learn how to recover

Created with Windows Vista, Startup Repair is even better in Windows 7. This tool is able to correct certain errors that prevent your operating system to be initialized, which usually happens by the absence of errors or system files. The tool does not fix hardware failures, errors such as hard disk or incompatible memory.

Startup Repair is located in the "System Recovery Options", where there are several diagnostic and recovery tools, and is only accessed before initialization, also known as boot.

Step 1. Before accessing the menu "System Recovery Options" on the computer, remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs and restart using the on / off switch. If you are using a Tablet PC or a touch a computer, connect a keyboard.

Step 2. If your computer has only one operating system installed, press the F8 key while the computer is restarted, this before the Windows logo appears. If your computer has more than one operating system, use the keyboard arrows to select the operating system you want to repair, holding down the F8 key.

Step 3. On the "Advanced Boot Options", select "Repair your computer" and press Enter on your keyboard. (If "Repair your computer" is not listed as an option, you do not have the recovery options pre-installed or your network administrator has turned off).

Step 4. Select your keyboard layout and click "Next" (Next). From the "System Recovery Options", click "Startup Repair" and when the computer finishes checking and correction, restart. The fix has been successful if Windows starts normally, without errors

The following steps are only useful for those who need or prefer to recover using the Windows installation CD to repair the system. This will occur as needed when the computer is damaged to the point that you can not even access the menu "Options Windows Recovery."

Step 5. Insert the Windows installation disc. Restart your computer and watch the screen to boot from the CD. When prompted, press any key.

Step 6. After clicking on any key as requested in the previous step, you should get the screen of Windows Setup. Click on "Repair Computer".

Step 7. You will be directed to screen "System Recovery Options." Just select your language and click "next". Follow from Step 3, requesting a correction startup.

Step 8. The computer displays a screen with system errors recovered. After that, simply restart.

This is a rather useful and recommended when you encounter problems when you start Windows, but if these steps do not resolve, you probably need to format the drive and do a clean install of Windows , but worth a try. Always remember to keep up the backup of your most important files.
